- Lexus LFA - |
Arguably the greatest sounding car of all time, created by Lexus, and such a big name of the 2010's super car releases. The LFA is a piece of automotive art that hasn't been given enough spotlight to non-car enthusiasts.
Everything about this car was perfect: the looks, the sound, the exclusivity and the thrill of the drive. With only 500 units sold worldwide, there are only 8 left on the roads in the UK but there is probably a large percentage of them being stored away in garages by millionaires. Originally, the LFA was priced at £340,000 when they were first released in 2010 but now they have sky-rocketed up in value to over £1,000,000! It is hard to find a car that doesn't depreciate so for something to triple in value, must mean that its special.
LFA stands for 'Lexus F-Sport Apex', whatever that means, and it is widely regarded as one of the best sounding cars ever produced. It has a 4.8L V10, which is know to be an engineering masterpiece, which produces over 550bhp and 480Nm of torque. That is enough power to launch the car from 0-60 in 3.5 seconds which, at the time, was ridiculously fast. Watch the video below to see what it sounds like, it is AMAZING!
