- Audi RS6 - |
Rivalry between car manufacturers has always encouraged better build quality, performance and style. The latest Audi RS6 is an example of how Audi compete with their closest competitors; BMW and Mercedes. It really is a super-car in disguise.
The RS6 is the range topping version of the A6, it has improved performance, more aggressive styling and still retains the practicality. It competes with the impressive BMW M5 and Mercedes AMG E63s and together they form a, sort of, German trinity. There will be a video at the bottom of this post so that you can see how they compete with each other. I am curious to know what your favourite of the three is so let me know in the comments below.
Under the bonnet, the RS6 has a massive 4.0L V8 twin-turbo engine which produces 620bhp and 850Nm of torque. It is definitely on the heavier side of the scale, of course because it is a huge estate car but all that power is still enough to launch the car from 0-60 in just 3.4 seconds. It feels like you are driving a proper sports car too, the engine and exhaust are so loud! The flared wheel arches and big vents on the front make the car look very aggressive which is exactly what you want. Audi have given the RS6 all the latest technology which makes lesser intense driving even more comfortable. There is plenty of space in the back seats and a huge boot which can hold up to 565L so this would be a perfect family car if you choose to have a lot of performance to go with it.
Please watch the video by CarWow below to see how the RS6 competes against the M5 and E63:
