- Aston Martin Vantage - |
The Aston Martin Vantage has a long, rich history dating back to the 70's. In fairness, that one was very different but the fact remains that the baby AM has been around for 50 years now! This recent modernisation is more than just some sleeker lines, they've enhanced everything.
The new Vantage is definitely not from Gen-X, it is very well up-to-date with technology and styling. The car comes with loads of standard equipment such as: heated seats, a 360 camera, dual-zone climate controls and Apple CarPlay. They have updated their interior design, inspired by the DB12 which is a massive upgrade from the cabin that previously let the Vantage down. Very prestigious looking, very high quality and a good mix of buttons and screens - a true Aston.

- The New AM Vantage Interior - |
Just like the previous Vantage, the new one has a Mercedes built 4.0L twin-turbo V8. Aston Martin must have negotiated their contract as they've been given some freedom to upgrade and tweak the system to make it theirs. They've improved it alright... it's been given an extra 150 horses pushing from 656bhp from 503bhp - that is a huge difference! Aston Martin had to give the car a massive grill because it needs 50% more air than the previous Vantage for cooling all of its upgraded components. It can launch from 0-60 in 3.5 seconds and has a top speed of over 200mph. It is driven by its rear wheels and has an 8-speed automatic transmission which is much better than previous one.

- Quad Exhaust Now As Standard - |
The baby AM is obviously their cheapest, albeit still not cheap. The new Vantage starts from £165,000 which is about £20,000 more than the previous one. This is justified, I think, as it has a much smarter interior, better performance and it looks better too. In all honesty, the change was needed. The last update for the Vantage was in 2018 and with the new Mercedes GT models being announced and Porsche face-lifting their Turbo S soon, they needed to do something. This upgrade has made it extremely competitive again in the market that has been dominated by Porsche.
It's great to see Aston Martin releasing some exciting vehicles to compete with the Germans, I am excited to see some on the road. You can
configure your own Vantage on the Aston Martin website which is fun as there are so many options to choose from. If you want to watch some videos on the new Vantage, please follow the
