In 2021, BMW released the new M3 Competition in which they copied the very marmite kidney grills from the M4. It was a bold choice after a drop in sales from the previous M4 (because of the design) but they stuck with their guns and it really starts to grow on you after a while. So much so that, BMW marketing team if you ever read this, I want one!
It will not be to everyone's taste when it comes to the style of the car but if it's specced correctly, you can really create a masterpiece. The car community will have my head for saying this but the best colour is the Isle of Man green, as pictured above. You get a sportier body compared to a regular 3 series including a quad-exhaust, side skirts, unique kidney grills and a nice diffuser. Inside the car is beautiful, a very modern interior with up-to-date technology. There are plenty of interior options too such as carbon fibre packages, different colour upholstery and bucket seats which are extremely comfortable and fitting for a sports car.
The most important part of an M-car is what's under the bonnet. The M3 Competition boasts a Bi-Turbo 3.0L inline-six engine producing 503BHP and 650Nm of torque. You can rear-wheel-drive or an all-wheel-drive version which can also send most of its power to the rear wheels with a press of a button. You'd be silly not to choose the latter. BMW claim that the M3 boosts from 0-60 in just 3.5 seconds which is modest considering some tests completed the run is just 2.8 seconds. There are not many cars in the market that will beat it and it is actually the fastest saloon car with an internal combustion engine! BMW have limited the car to a top speed of 155mph but this can be easily taken off with some coding to the ECU, but be warned that it may void your warranty.- Silverstone and Black + Carbon Pack - |
